Free and without reservationArchetype trad differentiates themselves by choosing compositions under the inspiring theme of the place of women in trad. Having at heart the promotion and sharing of the trad violin repertoire composed by women (Stéphanie Lépine, Lisa Ornstein, Sophie Lavoie, Karine Gallant, or Liette Remon among others), Kate Bevan-Baker and Émilie Brûlé will offer original arrangements of these compositions and will create new traditional pieces themselves.
This repertoire covering several regions of the province of Quebec (Gaspésie, Lanaudière, Montreal) and the Atlantic provinces (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland) is a continuation of their first album “Explorer”, released in November 2022.
For this show, Émilie and Kate will be accompanied by their accomplice Olivier Arseneault (jig and bodhran) to expand their repertoire with traditional music and dance.
